This route represents one of the most complete and panoramic cycling experiences in the Agrò Valley and Peloritani Mountains, connecting Antillo, Roccafiorita, Monte Kalfa and Sant’Alessio Siculo in a spectacular loop itinerary between mountains and sea.
Starting from Antillo, riders immediately enter an authentic natural environment characterized by low-traffic roads, small villages and continuous panoramic views over the inland valleys of eastern Sicily.
The route gradually climbs toward Roccafiorita, one of the smallest and most charming villages in Sicily, surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. From here, the tour continues toward Monte Kalfa, one of the most scenic viewpoints of the entire itinerary, offering spectacular views over both the Peloritani Mountains and the Ionian Sea.
The route alternates challenging climbs, scenic sections and technical descents, making it ideal for experienced cyclists, gravel riders and MTB enthusiasts, while still perfectly manageable with e-bikes.
The descent toward Sant’Alessio Siculo offers breathtaking coastal views over the Ionian Sea, creating a remarkable contrast between mountain and seaside environments. From there, the return to Antillo follows secondary roads and rural territories rich in authenticity and tranquility.
